Jeremy Goodman is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Blue Belt who trains out of Alexander Jiu-Jitsu academy in Seminole, Oklahoma. He recently became one of our first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ENDO Atheltics brand ambassadors from the state of Oklahoma and we were able to catch up to him recently to get a quick interview so everyone can learn a little more about this Jiu-Jitsu athlete:
EA: Can you tell everyone about where you train and what made you want to train Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu:
Tim Clinton will be making his return to the ENDO Athletics Jiu-Jitsu PRO stage on September 12th at ENDO Athletics Jiu-Jitsu PRO 7 and will be entering into the Featherweight NoGi tournament to determine our inaugural ENDO Athletics Jiu-Jitsu PRO NoGi Featherweight Champion.
Tim is a long time competitor out of Fit Factory in East Tennessee and holds a Brown Belt under BJJ Black Belt Gene Click. He is also undefeated under the ENDO Athletics Jiu-Jitsu PRO banner after making his debut back in June, where he picked up a quick submission victory over experienced veteran Michael Ballard.
ENDO Athletics Jiu-Jitsu PRO made its return on June 19th in Crossville, TN. At that event we held a 16-Man White Belt NoGi absolute. One of the competitors in that bracket was Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Foothills competitor Christian McNutt.
We recently were able to catch up with Christian to get a few words from him and also were able to learn a little more about this very young competitor from East Tennessee:
Cole Shafer made quite the impression in his second professional mixed martial arts bout, knocking out Thomas Harper barely over thirty seconds into their middleweight bout main event at Steelfist Fight Night 75 at the Union Event Center in Salt Lake City, UT on Saturday, March 12th.
In a fight that was a rematch from a 2016 bout that also saw Shafer victorious via 2nd round TKO, he made sure Saturday night that he won in an even more dominant fashion.
On Friday, March 12th, Chance Gilbride of Agoge Combatives picked up his first amateur mixed martial arts championship in a Bantamweight win over Nashville MMA's Michael Cribb at Primal Combat 2 in Lebanon, TN.
Chance entered the title fight undefeated with a perfect 2-0 record and looked to continue his streak of first round finishes and did so in an impressive fashion with a very early knockout victory due to ground and pound over his opponent in the opening minute of the first round of their bout.
Johnny “Buck Nasty” Buck won the 8-Man ENDO Athletics Jiu-Jitsu PRO Combat Jiu-Jitsu tournament this past Saturday at the 5th ENDO Athletics Jiu-Jitsu PRO event and became the 2020 BMF Tournament champion in the process.
The North Carolina native and Bellator veteran finished his first two opponents in route to the finals where he defeated IBJJF World Champion Sean Patton of Legion Jiu-Jitsu/Checkmat Nashville in what was arguably the most exciting combat jiu-jitsu match ever to take place in Tennessee.
Buck's path to the championship saw him take out Triad Martial Arts' Clay Malone early in the opening round via TKO, Jeremiah Bowman of Upper Cumberland MMA in the semi-finals (by armbar), and Sean Patton of Legion Jiu-Jitsu/Checkmat Nashville in the finals via quickest escape time from back control in overtime.
On Saturday, July 11th, The Historic Palace Theatre of Crossville, TN will host ENDO Athletics Jiu-Jitsu PRO 5 with an event headlined by two of Tennessee's most highly decorated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belts as Cory Robison of Phoenix MMA and Fitness takes on Steven Haag of Victory Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in a Black Belt NoGi Grappling bout in our main event.
'Smooth' Steven Haag will be headlining his second ENDO Athletics Jiu-Jitsu PRO event after main-eventing our inaugural event in January of 2019. That night he picked up a victory over 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu standout Michael Bartlett. He will be looking to make it 2-0 on the ENDO Athletics stage on July 11th.
ENDO Athletics Jiu-Jitsu PRO 4 took place on Saturday, February 29th, 2020 in Crossville, TN at the Historic Palace Theatre.
Our 4th Pro jiu-jitsu event proved to be our most talent rich event to date and we also were able to crown our very first ENDO Athletics Jiu-Jitsu PRO Champion as Chance Gilbride of Agoge Combatives became the new ENDO Atheltics Jiu-Jitsu PRO Combat Jiu-Jitsu Featherweight Champion after winning the 8-Man Featherweight bracket. We also had a 16-Man Blue Belt Open Championship bracket that ended in a draw as well as 20 plus Jiu-Jitsu and NoGi superfights.
Michael Ballard is a long time professional mixed martial artist competing out of Remedy BJJ Academy in Pensacola, FL. He is a multiple-time Combat Jiu-Jitsu veteran and is the reigning Shogun FC Lightweight Combat Jiu-Jitsu champion and is a multiple-time ENDO Athletics Jiu-Jitsu PRO veteran.
In 2018, he was one-half of the very first Combat Jiu-Jitsu bout to take place in the state of Tennessee and will look to make history again on February 29th as he competes in Tennessee's first Combat Jiu-Jitsu Grand Prix at ENDO Athletics Jiu-Jitsu PRO 4 for the Featherweight ENDO Athletics Jiu-Jitsu PRO Championship.
Recently we were able to catch up with him to get his thoughts on his opening round opponent as well as the Grand Prix as a whole:
The first edition of the ENDO Athletics Jiu-Jitsu PRO Grand Prix tournaments is set to launch on February 29th during the ENDO Athletics Jiu-Jitsu PRO 4 event in Crossville, TN at the Historic Palace Theatre as 8 Featherweight athletes will be vying for the inaugural ENDO Athletics Jiu-Jitsu PRO 145-pound Combat Jiu-Jitsu Championship.
We will be looking at making history as this will be the very first combat jiu-jitsu tournament or bracket event to ever take place in the state of Tennessee.
